System dynamics model: developing model for supplier selection with a focus on CSR criteria

Abstract The complexity and significance of decision-making in selecting suppliers highlight the need for a systematic transparent approach. more organizations rely on suppliers, harmful direct indirect consequences poor are. This study attempted to identify factors affecting supplier selection develop system dynamics model by taking into account social corporate responsibility (CSR) practices. aims increase CSR practices when thus help supply chain members gain competitive power satisfy customer demands optimally. was developed considering profitability, productivity, transparency, satisfaction. To this end, first, indicators were identified. Then, cause–effect extracted surveying subject-matter experts. Finally, developed. final output third stage dynamic that considers results showed profitability increases only implementing policy reducing average distance between increasing number suppliers. issue causes lower costs, reduced delivery time due increased resulting satisfaction demand.
